Psalm 17 (March 12, 2011)

As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness. (Psalm 17:15 ESV)

There is an implication that the idea of waking up is the eternal life of David, or that his inheritance, as opposed to the wicked (7:14) will be an eternal life with God. As you prepare your heart to worship God tomorrow, think about the eternal weight of what you are doing. You are worshipping the God of the universe with whom you will spend eternity. Be satisfied even now. Find joy in God now. Look to God as the supreme delight above everything else and find joy in the shadow of his wings.
